Sacchettini portaconfetti

Una delle ragioni per cui non ho aggiornato il blog per mesi...Ecco i sacchettini che prima dell'estate ho ricamato per la Prima Comunione del mio bimbo. Il soggetto è un cuore di Parolin modificato, con l'aggiunta della croce interna.

One of the reasons why I have not been updating my blog for months... Here are the traditional comfit bags I stitched for my son's First Holy Communion. The design is a Parolin's heart modified by me adding a little cross inside.

Non sono stata per niente una brava blogger negli ultimi mesi e probabilmente non lo sarò mai...ma cercherò di migliorare...
Mi sono innamorata di questi Bookmarks di Niky's Creations e ne ho ricamati subito due per il compleanno di mia sorella... Di solito non ricamo due volte lo stesso soggetto, ma questa volta farò un'eccezione, perchè li vorrei anche per me!

I am so sorry I have not been a good blogger at all in the past months, and I am afraid I will never be... Real life is always so busy, but I will try to improve myself...!
I fell for these lovely Bookmarks by Niky's Creations at first sight. I stitched them for my sister's birthday and although I usually do not stitch the same pattern twice, I am going to make an exception, since I would love to do them for myself, too!

Friends who touched my heart... Amiche che mi hanno commosso

Mi ha sempre commosso ricevere doni realizzati con le proprie mani... comportano ore di lavoro e dedizione e questo li rende preziosissimi, come le persone che li hanno donati.
I have been always moved by receiving handmade gifts... they involve working hours that make them very precious, like the friends who gave them to us.

Sabato io e Silva siamo finalmente riuscite ad incontrarci ed a scambiarci, seppure con qualche giorno di ritardo, gli auguri ed i regalini di Natale, insieme alla nostra amica Anna, presso il suo negozio. Ho ricevuto regali meravigliosi, compreso quello che la carissima Vicky aveva lasciato ad Anna per me!
Definire "regalino" il dono ricevuto da Silva a dire la verità non è corretto, lascio giudicare a voi...
Anche il pacchettino era bellissimo, ma quello non ve lo posso più mostrare, ormai l'ho aperto...!
Dentro un prezioso involucro di carta velina, c'era questo ancor più prezioso libretto porta-aghi ricamato. La trama del lino è finissima ( 36 count) e so bene quanta fatica debba aver comportato per la mia Silva ricamarla! Grazie per aver perseverato ed aver portato a termine questa meraviglia!
Last Saturday I finally could met my dear friends Silva and Anna at Anna's shop and exchange belate Christmas greetings and gifts. I received wonderful things! Thank you girls, you touched my heart!
Let's start with Silvana's one. Even the package was very cute and accurate, but unfortunately I cannot show it since I have already opened and broken it...
Inside a precious green flimsy wrapping, I found this even more precious needlebook. I love it! The linen is a 36 count and I can easily imagine how hard was for Silva's eyes stitching on it! Thanks for your effort and for finishing this wonder for me! :)

Insieme a questo gioiellino, Silva mi haregalato questo bellissimo Snowman, da lei dipinto magistralmente... Non è stupendo? Così caldo, country, dolcissimo!
Along with this gem, Silva also gave me this beautiful Snowman painted by her... Isn't it lovely? So warm, sweet and cosy!

Il tutto era accompagnato da uno scrapposissimo e bellissimo biglietto (visibile nella foto di gruppo) e, come se non bastasse da questo delizioso e morbidissimo alberello di Natale in feltro, che merita una foto tutta per lui!
She also made a beautiful "scrapped" card (in the group photo) and this lovely and soft felt little tree. It deserves a photo on itself!

These spiced ring-shaped cookies had such a pleasant smell of Christmas... I say "had", since even the last little crumb was eaten yesterday evening... they tasted so good! I hope Vicky will share the recipe!

Vogliamo poi parlare dell'adorabile gingerino in feltro abbinato al sacchettino che Vicky ha fatto con le sue manine? Un amore, dolce, bello e tenero proprio come lei! Grazie Vicky! Questo gingerino bellissimo lo terrò sempre con me! Guardate che occhietti...chi lo abbandona più?
I love the adorable felt gingerbread man she included! It is so sweet and beautiful, like her! Thanks Vicky, I will keep it always with me. Look at his sweet eyes... I never could leave him! :-)

La mia cara amica Anna, poi, ha pensato di regalarmi qualcosa che facesse usare un po' le mani anche a me! Mi ha infatti regalato l'ultimo bellissimo libro di Renee' Mullins, abbinato a quel simpaticissimo tappetino per il mouse su cui avevo posato gli occhi già da qualche tempo! Non me lo voleva mai vendere, adesso ho capito perchè! Grazie Anna, sono entrambi bellissimi!!!
Anna gave me as Christmas present the latest beautiful Renee' Mullins' book and one of her lovely mouse pad. I had set my eyes on it lately and now I realize why Anna did not want me to purchase it! This book is making me want to pick up my brushes again!

Ed ecco il bellissimo regalo che un'altra mia cara amica, Simona, ha realizzato con la tecnica del Decoupage. Mi piace tantissimo! Grazie Simo, è bellissimo! So quanto poco tempo hai, ed immagino a quale ora della notte tu sia riuscita a realizzarlo, cosa che lo rende ancora più prezioso!
And finally this is Simona's gift. She made it with Decoupage technique. I like it so much! I know she has not free time in her life and I can easily imagine at what (night) time she must have done it. This makes it even more precious!

Ciao a tutte! :) Ci sono, ci sono... Mi spiace essere stata senza scrivere per così tanti giorni...Ho avuto una serie di giornate frenetiche, che mi hanno costretta a limitare il tempo trascorso davanti al pc, nonchè quello per gli hobbies. Mi siete mancate! :)

Non ho molto da mostrarvi, solo questo Stitchery WIP di Lynette Anderson. Tanto per darvi l'idea di come sono messa, vi dico che buona parte l'ho ricamata in macchina fuori dalla scuola del mio bimbo, aspettando l'ora d'uscita! Mi sto divertendo molto a ricamarlo, ha ragione Nataliejo, è un gioco da ragazzi!

Non tutto lo Stitchery mi piace allo stesso modo, ma sono rimasta letteralmente folgorata dal lavoro, di Lynette Anderson, realizzato da Nataliejo, che potete vedere cliccando qui. Non è bellissimo?
Stuzzicata, ho deciso di provare a cimentarmi: pattern, muslin, stoffe, ago e filo sono pronti.
A questo punto avrei solo bisogno di un po' di tempo libero... ingrediente non proprio semplicissimo da reperire ultimamente...

I am not sure I like all Stitchery, but for sure I fell in love with this Lynette Anderson's design, wonderfully stitched and quilted by Nataliejo, that you can see clicking here. Isn't it wonderful?
Tempted and inspired, I decided to try and make my first Stitchery piece. Pattern, muslin, fabrics, needle and thread are ready to start. Now, I would need "only" some free time...that is a very hard-to-find "ingredient" lately...

Naturalmente non potevo lasciare questo bellissimo schema tutto solo durante il viaggio e così gli ho dato un compagno...non male anche quest'altro, vero? :)

Little Updates...

Eccomi qui! Diversi giorni senza aggiornare il blog...e diversi giorni senza riuscire a fare neppure una crocetta...completamente assorbita dagli impegni familiari e da una serie infinita di cose da fare...che "giornatine"!
Here I am! I am sorry I have been without updating the blog and without putting even one stitch for so many days ... I have been very very busy with my family life and so many things to do...I would need 48 hours in a day! :)

Innanzitutto vorrei ringraziare di cuore Paola, Livia e Claudia di Casa, Cuori e Colori, che mi hanno onorata con l'assegnazione di questo graditissimo premio. Ogni giorno visito, o meglio, ammiro il loro blog ed ogni giorno rimango incantata davanti ai loro raffinatissimi lavori ed all'eleganza con cui sono capaci di proporli e presentarli... Costituiscono per me una fonte inesauribile d'ispirazione, ed è stato un onore ricevere da loro questo premio. Grazie ancora!

LHN Neighborhood progress

Piccolo progresso sul mio LHN Neighborhood, che procede, sebbene lentamente, crocetta dopo crocetta... E' uno schema molto divertente, ho proprio voglia di vederlo finito!
Ho dovuto modificare il colore della staccionata della sezione inferiore perchè il bianco previsto dall' originale non risaltava abbastanza sulla mia tela, che non è scurissima.
My LHN Neighborhood is going ahead, stitch by stitch... It is such an enjoyable design! I cannot wait to see it finished. I changed the colour of the fence in the lower section, as "white" did not stand out enough against my coffee dyed linen. After a few "tests" with other colours, I decided on DMC 612. Thanks for looking, bye!

Il Natale si avvicina ed ogni tanto, presa dal panico, comincio a portarmi avanti con qualcosina, come per esempio questo Christmas Motif Sampler di JBW Designs, ricamato su lino Flax 14 fili con un filo di seta Au Ver a Soie su due fili.
Mi piace moltissimo ricamare con la seta, è così morbida e gradevole al tatto!
Christmas is drawing near and when I realize that and get into a panic, I try and make headway with some little project, like this Christmas Mitif Sampler by JBW Design...I stitched it with Au Ver au Soie Silk, one over two.
I love to stitch with silk, it is so soft and pleasant!

LHN chart pro Unicef and Cata's Give Away

In seguito alla segnalazione di Yuko, ho scoperto che Diane Willams di Little House Needlework ha appositamente creato questo schema per devolvere il ricavato della sua vendita all'Unicef.

WIP Neighborhood and little game...

Eccomi reduce dal primo attacco influenzale dell'anno (scolastico), che ha messo ko, a turno, prima i miei bimbi, poi me ed infine anche il maritino...
Con lo stomaco sottosopra non è facile produrre...L'unico piccolo progresso che posso mostrarvi è quello relativo al " LHN Neighborhood", che , molto lentamente , procede...

Here I am, I've just been through the first seasonal flu viruses, that in the last few days put "KO" my kids, then me and then my DH.
With my stomach upside down I could not stitch very much...The only little progress I have to show you is on my Neighborhood. Very slowly, stitch by stitch, it goes on and I am liking stitching it sooo much!

Spot of Winter finished!

Un altro progettino veloce giusto per prendere un break dal "Neighborhood" di LHN.
E' "Spot of Winter"di Drawn Thread. Fa parte di una serie di quattro schemi, ciascuno dedicato ad una stagione dell'anno.
Sono partita dall'inverno perchè è una stagione che mi è molto congeniale, nonchè per la gioia dei miei bimbi che volevano vedere realizzato il pupazzo di neve! :)
Sono indecisa se farne un cuscinetto o un piccolo quadretto... mah, in attesa di ricamare anche gli altri tre avrò tempo di pensarci!

Another little project just for taking a break from my Neighborhood. I have just finished to stitch "Spot of Winter" by The Drawn Thread. It is the fourth of four seasonal patterns. I have decided to start from Winter since it is a sesaon that I love...and since my kids wanted to see the snowman stitched! :)
I am a bit uncertain whether to finish it as a little pillow as charted or if to frame it...We will see...

Thread: Needle Necessities

Come dicevo, in questo periodo ho messo da parte colori e pennelli per dedicarmi al mio vecchio amore: il ricamo.
Mi sono presa un break dai lavori più lunghi che ho in corso e negli ultimi giorni mi sono dedicata a cosucce meno impegnative e decisamente più rapide, in vista di un paio di regalini natalizi.
Come si vede, sono ancora dei Works in Progress, ma li mostro lo stesso... non so voi, ma io amo vederei i WIP altrui, danno l'idea di come le cose nascano e si realizzino man mano...punto dopo punto, pennellata dopo pennellata...
Penso di finire entrambi come cuscinetti punta-spilli.

I took a break from my large stitching projects in the last few days and I have been devoting myself to a couple of smaller and faster pieces that I would like to give as Christmas gifts.
As you can see, they are still WIPs... I love to see others' WIPs, since they show how things are "built", stitch by stitch, stroke by stroke...
I think to finish both of them as pinkeeps.
